Career Development Centre
Preparing for the transition from College, Seminary or University to the world of work can be an exciting, yet stressful or even confusing process. The Career Development Centre offers a number of workshops and services to help you prepare for that transition. Career Development at Ambrose offers a Career and Vocational Development program to help you through this process, and to help you realize your full potential. There are a variety of entry and exit points which provide you with flexibility depending upon your specific needs.
What has God designed for you and what has He designed you for? For much of our life, we ask: Why am I here on earth? This often leads into further questions such as what does God have for me to do while I am here – what is my purpose? What has God specially equipped me with so that I can do the work He has for me?
In other cases, some students are clear about what they are going to do upon graduation, but just are not sure what process to use to get there, or are not sure how to prepare themselves so that they can be well equipped for an interview or job search.
Uncovering your gifts and talents and aligning them with the needs in the world that God is trying to meet, will help you to determine your calling in an occupation or a career that fulfils your dreams and God's design.
Since our quest for understanding is grounded in our commitment to Jesus Christ, the career related workshops and programs we offer through Career Development are Christ-centered and can help you uncover the answers to some of these questions and begin to make preliminary plans for your future.
