Ambrose Ambassadors

Kaylie Glasman Ambrose Student Ambassador
Kaylie Glasman

Hello! My name is Kaylie Glasman and I graduated from the 3 year Behavioral Science program and am currently in my first year of the Education after-degree. Originally, I am from Edmonton and came for the unique Behavioral Science program (and for the element of adventure in moving cities), but I stayed because of the unreal community life. I have had the opportunity to be quite involved in the Ambrose community through residence, campus and sporting events, and now through working as a student ambassador. After graduation I suppose I will go back to school, and stay there for the rest of my life (I apologize for the classic teacher joke).

My name is Mo Hickman and I was raised in Oxford NS, home of the oldest Church of the Nazarene in Canada. I am in my 4th year at Ambrose and am taking a Bachelor of Theology in Church Ministry with minors in Music and Theatre. I have a passion for storytelling and want to share God’s story with the world. I’m not graduating – yet – but look forward to serving as a Worship and Creative Arts Pastor or wherever God takes me. I will be on internship starting January 2019 in Hamilton, Ontario!

Karlie McMillan Ambrose Student Ambassador
Karlie McMillan

My name is Karlie McMillan and I am a 3rd-year biology student here at Ambrose. You can usually find me studying or talking with either a tea or caramel macchiato in my hand. I’m originally from Fort McMurray but have lived in Calgary for most of my life. I chose to come to Ambrose because I wanted to stay in Calgary for my undergraduate studies and for the small class sizes. I definitely think I made the right choice. I have loved the community at Ambrose and the opportunity to

connect with so many great students and professors. After my undergrad, I plan to go into the health field, hopefully as an optometrist!

Lauren Schmitke Student Ambassador
Lauren Schmitke

Heyyy, my name is Lauren Schmitke and I am currently in my second year of a double major in English Literature and Business and Administration here at Ambrose University. I was raised, for the most part, in Owen Sound ON. I have an odd mix of majors because I have an odd mix of personality. I love reading and writing essays (the nerd), that is my absolute passion and I love everything about the business world (the extravert)! I hope to one day feed both of these enjoyments with the occupation of being an Editor for a dissertation publication firm. I'm hoping to bring the light and joy of Jesus to the lives of many people in the realm of business and in the lives of the people I interact with every day!

Kaitlin Henczel Ambrose Student Ambassador
Kaitlin Henczel

Hey! My name is Kaitlin and I am a fourth year Behavioural Science student minoring in International Community Development. I hope to work with women exiting sexual exploitation and trafficking when I graduate next fall. Born and raised in Calgary I decided to come to Ambrose because of the small environment and the faith integration the campus offered. From the first time I stepped on campus I knew Ambrose was where I belonged and have loved every minute since! I lived on residence for my first three years and this year am commuting as I live off campus with 4 of my best friends from Ambrose. I am also the Director of Operations on Student Council-which means I oversee all of the clubs on campus and help with other projects!  My favorite thing about Ambrose is how much the professors invest and care about each student. Coming to Ambrose has been one of the best decisions I have made!
