Calgary AB – Adrian Strandberg is one of the few athletes that has been privileged enough to have the ability to star on two of the Ambrose ACAC teams in the same season. While few have such an opportunity, fewer still are able to provide the leadership and impact he was able to have on both teams.

Calgary AB -  Lions Athletics is pleased to announce that Barry Heidebrecht is taking the reins as the new Head Coach of the Women’s Volleyball team.

In their last home game of the season, the Ambrose Lions looked to clinch 3rd in the South division going into playoffs.  The Lions came out firing in what was graduating senior, Matt Francisco's last home game in the Den. 

Calgary AB -  In her 5th and final year, Bethany Herman’s illustrious career was capped off by winning one of Ambrose University’s top athletic awards, the Mel Sylvester Leadership Award. 

Calgary AB – After taking a few years off from Collegiate basketball, 3rd year student-athlete, Nhial Phillip took full advantage of his opportunity on and off the court in his first year at Ambrose.

Calgary AB – For the second consecutive year, Middle Blocker, Willow Lewington, was awarded the Ambrose Athletics Women’s Athlete of the Year.  Leading her team to their 4th consecutive playoff appearance, Willow consistently proved, week after week, her skill on the court and leadership off of it.

While the Ambrose Golden Gala was forced to look a little different this year, taking place entirely online due to COVID-19 and physical distancing guidelines outlined by Alberta Health Services. The 2019-20 seasons were still with filled many team and individual accomplishments, on and off the court that deserves plenty of praise.
