Recap of Ambrose Hosting ACAC Futsal Championships

The Ambrose University Athletics department was excited and anxious to host the 2017 ACAC Futsal Championships on March 2-5. Excited for the chance to showcase our own Lion’s Futsal teams and amazing school, but also anxious as this was the biggest championships that the ACAC would have this year.

Shula Named to ACAC All-Conference Second Team

Ambrose University Athletics is happy to announce that Kyler Shula has been awarded an ACAC All-Conference Award for the 2nd year in a row. Shula, a 5th year from Puyallup, Washington was named to the ACAC All-Conference South First Team last year, as well as receiving the esteemed All-Canadian honor.

Kemper Makes Prestigious Volleyball All-Conference Team

Julia Kemper, 2nd Year Left Side for the Ambrose University Women’s Volleyball Team, is honoured to be named to the ACAC South All-Conference Team.

Lions Fall To Hometown Rustlers 3-0 In A Rowdy Semifinal

In the final game of the evening, the Ambrose Women’s Volleyball team lost to the hosting Lakeland College Rustlers in front of hundreds of pumped up fans. The Lions didn’t go down without a fight, but couldn’t find the magic that propelled them to victory last night. The Rustlers will face GPRC tomorrow night in the Gold Medal match.

Lions Pull Off Historic Upset Over First-Seeded Eagles

The first ACAC playoff match in Ambrose history featured the fourth seeded Lions going up against the first seed from the North, The King’s University Eagles. In one of the biggest upsets in ACAC history, Ambrose stunned the crowd by coming back from down 0-2 and winning three straight sets to win the last quarterfinal of the night.

Lions Women's Volleyball Clinch Playoff Birth

LIONS WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL MAKES HISTORY BY CLINCHING PLAYOFF BIRTH!!!

Something very, very cool has happened in Ambrose Athletics. On February 11, 2017, the ladies Lions volleyball team made the playoffs. This is the first Ambrose volleyball team to make an ACAC Volleyball Provincial Championships.

The Lions are in their 3rd year in the ACAC for volleyball and it is encouraging to see the growth and development of the women's program. The Lions finished up the season with two clutch victories over Lethbridge Community College to clinch the playoff birth.
