Lions fall in 3 to visiting Kings

Ambrose's  first home game of the semester saw a couple of new additions to the roster and starting lineup in their match up against the RDC Kings.  Lions Setter Jared VanderZwaag and Middle Brodie Juul-Hansen both started the game for the Lions and worked to find a rhythm with their teammates on the court. RDC also played with a varied lineup as outside hitter Shae McIntyre saw the court in all three sets.

Red Deer holds on to win in 4 sets

In their first home game of 2020, the Ambrose Lions took on the visiting RDC Queens. After a close 5 set match the night before, both teams showed up ready to fight for the win.

Lions come close vs. Rattlers

While going into the 4th quarter the Lions trailed the Rattlers by 2, it wasn't their night tonight as Medicine Hat was able to close out the game with a strong 4th quarter, outscoring the Lions, 19-7.

Jackson and the rest of the Ambrose Lions coast to win over MHC

While Medicine Hat has struggled in the first semester, veteran players including Josh Magpantay & Kieron Burgess still have the skill to upset a team if they don't take them seriously.  Coming off a two extremely close loses to the Lethbridge last weekend, this did have the makings of a "trap game" for the Lions.

Kodiaks hang-on to beat Lions

Tonight’s game had a little bit of everything, missed dunks, 4th quarter drama, clutch 3’s, a half-court buzzer beater, and 2 passionate teams who gave it all they had on the court.

 In the end, the #1 ranked team in the CCAA, the Lethbridge Kodiaks, held on to win a nail bitter.

Lethbridge outlasts Ambrose

While the Ambrose Lions, moved the ball well on offense, enough shots didn’t fall for them to be able to upset the Lethbridge College Kodiaks.

Another injury to a key player, this time, Munroe Brothers, dampened spirits going into tonight’s, however, a the team welcomed Latisha Chiwele and Eisley Tan to their roster after both Red Shirting for the first semester.
