In their last soccer game of the year, the Ambrose Lions challenged the Olds Broncos in a Sunday matinee. After losing their first matchup in Olds this year 5-0, the Lions were looking to take advantage of their home field.
On this Saturday afternoon, the Lions only needed one chance to net their first of the game and took advantage of it, scoring in final seconds of stoppage time to win the game 1-0. Both the Lethbridge Kodiaks and Ambrose Lions played a consistent defensive battle throughout all 90 minutes. Great scoring chances were very hard to come by the entire night for both teams.
It was cold and windy evening at Ambrose University for the match between the Ambrose Lions and Medicine Hat Rattlers. On a day that favored the team playing from North to South due to the wind, both teams exchanged chances but ultimately the Rattlers felt the advantage. Ambrose had multiple chances early in the game, however Rattlers keeper Kassidy Suberlak came up with multiple key saves to keep the Lions off the scoreboard.
