International Development Travel Study

LAST CALL for students interested in the DVST 404 April 28-May 15, 2019 international development travel study to Rwanda and Uganda. Students will learn about different types of development issues in east Africa, different types of program delivery models, and cultural context. Students will visit a number of organizations and projects in Rwanda and Uganda with a view to understanding who is being helped, the issues being addressed, the scale of the impact (target groups or system wide), how programs are delivered, and who delivers programs (government, non-profits, churches etc.). The interests of the group participants will be taken into account when determining types of organizations to visit. The program will also include opportunities to learn about the history and cultures of the regions visited. Talk to Angie Redecopp (aredecopp@ambrose.edu) asap if you are interested as the trip closes this week! Fundraising options and partial grants available to offset the $3200 in trip costs.
