Living on Campus

There’s so much to gain from living on campus. The residence program is a big part of what makes the Ambrose community so close, energetic, and supportive. In this active living-learning environment, you’ll have the chance to grow holistically as you share life with your fellow students.

Apply by June 15th to guarantee your spot in residence.

Please note: All first-year, full-time, non-transfer students under the age of 21 who are not married and do not live with their parents must live in residence and purchase a meal plan.

New Students  Returning Students

You’ll make memories and build life-long friendships as you live, study and hang out with students from different places and programs. Sharing life together is not only a lot of fun, it also helps you to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. From study groups to late-night conversations with roommates, residence is a bonding experience that’s not to be missed.

92.5% of our residence students say that residence has helped them connect with other students and make friends.

As an on-campus student you’ll have ready-made opportunities to connect with the students on your pod and throughout the residence:

  • Weekly floor meetings
  • Floor social events
  • Social events with brother or sister floors
  • Residence-wide social events
  • Small groups

You’ll also have Residence Assistants (RAs) and a Residence Director (RD) to help you with the transition from living at home to more independent living.

Living in residence will make it easier to get involved in campus activities and connect with your fellow students and faculty, which will give you a more satisfying social and academic life. And the more engaged and active you are, the more you’ll get out of your time at Ambrose.

Community Guidelines

Your home in residence will be minutes away from your classes and all the other services on campus, like the library, the fitness centre, and the squash courts. No rush-hour commute means more time to do the things you want to do!

The residence buildings are also just a five-minute walk from the 69th Street C-Train station, which gives you quick access to all sorts of activities, entertainment and shopping in Calgary.
