Do you love watching movies? Would you like to learn how to make one? “Here’s Looking At You, Kid!” Meaning—we are glad you are here and we believe you can do it! Join us for this hands-on film camp where you will get to work with professional filmmakers and learn the foundational principles of making a good film. You will enjoy watching and learning to critique films. You will also love trying different filmmaking roles from writer to director to cameraman to editor. Experience the life a film maker in a mid-week trip to the Calgary Film Centre; and enjoy a moment of glory in a red carpet film screening with family and friends at the end of the week.

July 26-30, 2021

Who

Youth ages 11-17 who are interested in filmmaking

Cost

Full-time: $375 (includes field trip and all materials)

Instructors

Stayed tuned for more information on the additional professional filmmakers we are lining up to teach this camp!

Special Notes

*On Thursday, the afternoon schedule will be interrupted for a trip to the Calgary Film Centre.

*On Friday, preparation for the film screening will begin at 2:00 and family and friends will be invited to the screening beginning at 3:30 with a reception to follow.
