Admissions Advisor, Undergraduate
The Admissions Advisor for Undergraduate is responsible to increase the quantity and quality of students enrolling at Ambrose. The Admissions Advisor is responsible to build and facilitate relationships with undergraduate prospects and influencers through networking with prospective students, churches, parents, and schools.
External
- Represent Ambrose to the community (e.g., church, high schools, home schools, etc.).
- Liaise with prospective students, teachers, counselors, parents, and pastoral staff to promote Ambrose programs and provide program information.
- Identify opportunities where faculty, staff, leaders, and students can serve and connect.
- Responsible to coordinate travel arrangements.
- Coordinate career fairs, conference bookings, and logistics to ensure suitable booth space is reserved in a timely manner.
- Responsible to ensure pertinent marketing materials are distributed at events.
- Ensure that display booth/table is set up in a timely manner at events and looks professional.
- Initiate and give presentations at events as needed.
- Aggressively collect prospective student information for follow-up.
- Advise prospective students and families on post-secondary options including and promoting Ambrose (i.e., admissions, financial aid, and program information).
Inquiries
- Responsible to follow up with inquiries collected at events through online requests or campus visits.
- Responsible to increase the conversion of inquiries to applicants.
Applicants
- Responsible to communicate personally with assigned applicants.
- Responsible to increase the conversion of applicants to students.
- Assist with coordinating internal events (e.g., Counsellor Breakfasts, Preview Days, Open House, etc.).
- Assist team with ongoing daily administrative tasks (i.e., answer e-mail, telephone, and web inquiries).
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree, preferably from Ambrose, is required.
- 1-2 years of related experience, particularly in customer service, is an asset.
Skills
- Able to learn quickly and maintain substantial knowledge regarding undergraduate and graduate programs offered by institutions.
- Strong information technology (e.g., Microsoft 365, Jenzabar, etc.) skills.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Able to create and deliver presentations.
- Able to manage miscellaneous projects (e.g., travel schedules, event planning, etc.).
- High attention to detail.
- Able to prioritize within tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, written, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Must have a quality of spirit that will be reflected in a growing relationship with God and interpersonal relationships.

Other
- Driver’s license with clear driving record required.
- Must be eligible to rent a card.
- Seasonal travel is required.
- Able to lift 30+ lbs.
- A compensation package commensurate with education and experience is available.
- Employment is contingent upon satisfactory background criminal check and academic transcripts.
