Lions' Store Assistant - Part-time
The Lions’ Store Assistant is responsible for customer service, inventory maintenance for clothing and books, and digital marketing through the eCommerce site and social media. The Assistant takes an active role in the daily operations of the store and assists the Manager of the Lions’ Store with book orders, returns, eCommerce, stocking, organizing merchandise, and supervising hourly staff.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, employees, and community members.
- In collaboration with the Manager, support the website and marketing development activities.
- Assist with textbook purchasing.
- Monitor book return deadlines. Assist with preparing return shipments to publishers.
- Help instructors and students access their eText resources through the eBook program. Ensure satisfaction with the program.
- Receive books, clothing, and general merchandise into inventory.
- Fulfill orders on the eCommerce site. Prepare the orders for pickup and shipment.
- Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, organized, and professionally displayed.
- Organize the textbook Buyback program.
- In collaboration with the Manager, build and communicate the brand through social media.
- Assist with seasonal sale events. This includes convocation and monthly pop-up shops.
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree is required.
- Experience in retail and customer service is an asset.
- Experience with marketing through social media, Canva, and photoshoots is an asset.
