Lions cruise to 3 set victory over Medicine Hat

Coming off of a 3 set win vs the Medicine Hat Rattlers yesterday, the Lions looked to continue their 3 game winning streak, this time at home.

The Lions came out aggressive and smart to start the match.  While they didn't blow MHC out of the water with their power, they used their strengths to their advantage, took care of the volleyball on their side of the court and hit the open spots in the Rattlers defensive.

In the first set, the Lions had 18 kills to only 2 attack errors.  Ambrose however struggled from the service line, as they served 7 out of bounds while not having a single ace in the opening set.

The second and third sets saw the Rattlers slow down the offensive of the Lions, with tougher serves along with more soft touch blocks, however the result was very much the same, with the Lions winning in straight sets.

Player of the game awards were presented to Ashleigh Wolensky for Ambrose thanks to her team high 13 kills and Brooke Christie for the Rattlers.

Ambrose now turns their attention to their final weekend of play against the Olds College Broncos before traveling to Medicine Hat for the playoffs.
