Gabriel Brandt Joins Growing Lions' Pride

The Ambrose University Athletics Department is pleased to welcome its latest member, Gabriel Brandt, who is joining our team as Campus Recreation and Game Day Coordinator. This new position in Athletics will bring great value to the program as we continue to grow.

Gabe comes to Ambrose from Steinbach, Manitoba and is a recent graduate of Trinity Western University where he received a Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Sport and Leisure Management. He gained valuable experience running tournaments and helping with Manitoba Summer Games, and has also spent time in game day operations with Spartan Athletics and with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers during the 2015 Grey Cup.

In addition to running game days, Gabe will also put his education into practice as he builds the Lions Campus Recreation and Intramurals Program.

“I am excited to be able to contribute to the students' experience here at Ambrose by expanding the intramural programs with new fitness classes and by continuing the successful futsal, basketball and volleyball intramural options," says Gabe. "In regards to Lions' home games, I am passionate about creating an atmosphere that rallies students around their Lions teams and builds community within the school.”

Athletics Director Colin Kubinec welcomes Gabriel to the team

The Athletics leadership team is happy to have Gabe on board. “Gabe brings a focused work ethic and an achiever mindset that allows him to get substantial amounts of work done, which will help us to accomplish more of what our vision pushes us towards," says Associate Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation Paul Armbruster. "While he just started, I can tell he is going to fit in great and be a huge help to us here. We thank God for bringing Gabe to our team!”

Welcome, Gabe, to the Lions' Pride. Go Lions Go!
