Description

Do you love words? Do you love getting lost in a good book? Do you think words can be even more powerful than the sword? If so, this camp is for you! You’ll have a lot of fun in the this week long creative writing camp for students ages 11-17 while learning from professional writers, honing your craft, and making new friends. Get the inside scoop on the publishing process today, learn desktop publishing skills in Adobe InDesign from a professional graphic designer, play word games, learn to write stronger fiction, poetry, plays, and so much more!

Who

Youth ages 11-17 who are interested in creative writing

Cost

Full-time: $375 (includes trip to bookstore and coffee shop and all materials)

Instructors

Stay tuned for more information on the professional writers and designers we are lining up to teach this camp!

Special Notes

*On Wednesday, the afternoon schedule will be interrupted for a trip to Shelf Life Books, Memorial Park/ Library and a coffee shop.

*On Friday, preparation for the Open Mic Session will begin at 3:00 and family and friends will be invited to the reading beginning at 3:30 with a reception to follow.
