Biography

Anton is a set, light and sound designer based in Calgary. He received his MFA from the University of Calgary in 2016. Select design credits include: Bronte: The World Without, HMS Pinafore, Treasure Island (Stratford Festival of Canada), The Hollow, The Thin Man, Dracula: The Bloody Truth! (Vertigo), The Circle, Charolotte’s Web, Waiting for the Parade, Cockroach (ATP), King Lear (The Shakespeare Company), GIANT (Ghost River Theatre), In the Wake, Sequence, Good Fences (Downstage). Anton received the Betty Mitchell Award for Outstanding Light Design for Nine Dragons (Vertigo), and Macbeth & All’s Well That Ends Well (The Shakespeare Company), as well as Outstanding Set Design for Travel’s With My Aunt (Vertigo) and Crime Does Not Pay (Downstage). He received the Emerging Artist Award from the Mayor’s Lunch for Arts Champions in 2015, and was named Top 40 Under 40 (2017) by Avenue Magazine.
