Biography

Krista is a multi-discipline theatre artist currently residing in Calgary. She holds a M.F.A. in Playwriting from the Playwrights’ Lab at Hollins University  and graduated from Trinity Western University with a B.A. in Theatre. As an actor she has worked with Fire Exit Theatre (Calgary), Pacific Theatre (Vancouver), Live Girls! Theatre and Last Leaf Productions (Seattle). Playwriting credits include: The Curiosity Cabinet (Best of Fringe, Calgary International Fringe Festival), Cultivation (Pacific Theatre), Nellie’s Controversial Premier (Rosebud Theatre/Heritage Park), Secret Life Under the Stairs (Wonderworks Theatre, published by Youthplays), and The Ristretto Proposal (Trinity Western University). Her most recent work, Evergreen, will be produced by Fire Exit Theatre in their 2018-19 season. Directing credits include: Mythification, The Curiosity Cabinet, and facilitating devised theatre workshops and productions for a variety of companies. She is an artistic associate/director with Naked Thieves Theatre Collective and has extensive design and copywriting experiences as one half of Marushy Design.
