Tim Moore was born and raised in London, Ontario. He graduated from Houghton College in Houghton, New York, in 1981 with a BSc in Physical Education.
From 1981-1986, Tim served as the Athletic Director at Canadian Bible College (CBC) and Canadian Theological Seminary in Regina, Saskatchewan, where he coached the women's basketball team and soccer team to seven Provincial Championships and three sixth place finishes at the CCAA National Championships and was selected the Coach of the Year in men's soccer in 1985. From CBC, Tim became the Pastor of Student Ministries at Glencarin Alliance Church in Regina. In 1989 Tim and his family moved to Columbia, South Carolina, so Tim could complete his MA in English Bible at Columbia International University.
From 1990-2001, Tim served as the Pastor of Student Ministries at Unionville Alliance Church in the Eastern Central District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. While serving in Unionville, Tim was adjunct faculty at Tyndale University College and CBC, teaching in the Youth Ministries departments.
Since 2001, Tim has served on the faculty of Ambrose University College and is currently an Associate Professor of Youth Ministries. While on faculty, he has also served as ACCESS Director, the Director of Legacy Youth Conference and Campus Pastor. He completed his DMin degree in 2009 at Providence Theological Seminary. His dissertation titled “Holistic Discipleship and Mentoring in Small Group Youth Ministry.” He has completed mission trips to St. Vincent, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Kenya, Russia, Costa Rico, Indonesia, and Mexico City. Tim gladly serves on the Canadian Western District Ordination Council and his local church Board of Elders. He has also taught practical ministry courses at Davo Alliance Bible College and Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia (Philippines). He has served local churches and districts teaching Foundation of Ministry Certificate Courses in Multiple Staff Relationships, Discipleship and Mentoring, Longevity in Youth Ministry, and Christian Spirituality.
Tim has been married to his wife, Nancy, for over 30 years. They enjoy their three adult children, Joel, Matthew, and Katie. In addition to his role at Ambrose, Tim enjoys playing golf, mentoring students, cruising on his motorcycle, and taking long hikes with Nancy! One of his major downfalls, according to some of his peers, is that he is an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan with a rapidly developing loyalty to the Calgary Flames.
- A faith-based curriculum for the Impact Society’s Heroes program, including both a student handbook and an instructor’s manual
- A project entitled You Asked For It, which responds to the 800+ questions Tim’s youth ministries students have asked over the past ten years
- Research into Barry Moore’s principles of preaching evangelistically, a project currently under the working title of Fruit that Lasts
- Developing a holistic strength-based discipleship practice in an ongoing church discipleship ministry
