Add/Drop Deadline and Change to Audit Policy

  • The add/drop/change to audit deadline is scheduled for when 15% of the instructed course time has been met.
  • If you drop a course or change to audit by the stated deadline, you’ll be reimbursed for your tuition and fees for that course minus the non-refundable $250 tuition deposit (if in the Fall semester).
  • If you miss this deadline but withdraw from the course by the withdrawal deadline, you’ll receive a final grade of 'W' (Withdrawal) and you won’t be reimbursed for tuition or fees.

How to Add or Drop a Course or Change to Audit

  • If you’re a current student of Ambrose, you can add or drop a course or change to audit using the Student Portal.
  • If you’re an Open Studies or Visiting student, visit the Office of the Registrar during office hours to add or drop a course or change to audit. If you can’t get to the Office of the Registrar during office hours, you must email registrar@ambrose.edu to add or drop a course or change to audit.

Withdrawal Deadline Policy

  • The withdrawal deadline is scheduled for when 70% of the instructed course time has been met.
  • If you withdraw from a course by the stated deadline, you’ll receive a final grade of 'W' (Withdrawal) and won’t be reimbursed for any tuition or fees for that course. If you haven’t yet paid the total tuition and fees owing for the course, you’ll still be responsible for the outstanding balance.
  • To withdraw from a course, you must complete and submit the Withdrawal Form from a Course or Courses to the Office of the Registrar by the stated deadline.
  • If you don’t submit this form by the deadline, you’ll receive a final grade of 'F' (Fail) and will not be reimbursed for tuition or fees for that course.
