Our Faculty of Arts & Science bachelors’ degrees are approved by the Province of Alberta.

 

Our School of Ministry degrees and diplomas are accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).

 

Ambrose Seminary masters’ degrees are accredited by the Association of Theological Schools.

2021 survey of seminary graduates from 2016-2020:

  • Half our MDiv alumni reported that they are employed in congregations; the majority are ministering in urban multi-cultural contexts. Another 20% of respondents are engaged in some other ministry context.
  • 79% of our MLM and MIM alumni reported that they are employed in congregational or other ministry context.

Upcoming Accreditation Visits

Association of Theological Schools (ATS)

Ambrose Seminary is hosting a comprehensive evaluation visit for reaffirmation of accreditation by the ATS Commission on Accrediting on March 7-10, 2022. The purpose of this visit is to verify that the school meets all applicable Commission Standards of Accreditation. Comments regarding how well the school meets those standards and/or generally demonstrates educational quality may be sent to the ATS Director of Commission Information Services at least two weeks before the visit. Comments may also or instead be sent in writing to Dr. Jo-Ann Badley, (c/o Diane Quapp  dquapp@ambrose.edu ). All comments will be shared with the onsite evaluation committee.

Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE)

The School of Ministry at Ambrose University will be hosting a comprehensive accreditation visit by a team of evaluators from the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) on March 29-31, 2022, to determine its compliance with the standards for accreditation. During the visit, representatives of the ABHE team will entertain comments from the public. Any members of the public interested in making a presentation regarding the College to the team should contact the College at the following telephone number (403-410-2000 ext. 6918) or email address (dquapp@ambrose.edu) to determine a meeting time. Persons wishing to submit third-party comments related to the institution may send them to Director, Commission on Accreditation, 5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Suite 130, Orlando, FL, 32822. Persons interested in reviewing the standards for accreditation will find them on the ABHE website at abhe.org. They appear under “about accreditation” (https://www.abhe.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/2021-COA-Manual-2021-07-28.pdf ). The institution is subject to the Programmatic Accreditation Standards.
