Applicants from the United States, who have completed high school or post-secondary studies in the U.S., or who have completed U.S. based curriculum abroad, may be considered for admission on presentation of:

  • A full academic high school program, similar to the Alberta program, from an accredited high school, with five grade 12 level courses including English, and Mathematics or a second language, with a minimum overall average of 60% or higher on the five courses, and
  • An ACT composite score of 22 or higher, or an SAT Reasoning Test score of 1030 on the current two-component SAT test (after March 2016) or a total score of 1400 with no section below 400 on the old SAT test (prior to March 2016).

An applicant from the USA must have a valid Canadian Study Permit, or must be a landed immigrant. To obtain a Study Permit a student must present a letter of acceptance and evidence of sufficient funds or financial support for the school term to Canadian Consulate officials or to Canadian Immigration authorities at the point of entry into Canada. To avoid the possibility of a Study Permit being denied at the point of entry due to unanticipated circumstances, applicants should apply for a Study Permit at their nearest Canadian Consulate. Future students are advised to start the application procedure for Ambrose several months before their anticipated enrolment.
