Calf Update: We are planning to open our Cafeteria eating area for communal dining on November 15, 2021. All students who are wanting to use that space will be required to show proof of vaccination using the Alberta QR Code or proof of a negative rapid test that is performed by a third party (pharmacy or health care provider) and at one’s own expense. No other rapid test results will be accepted for admittance to the Calf sitting area. Masks must still be worn when not seated at a dining table or actively eating. The food service kitchen remains open to the whole community for take-out. All take-out must be eaten in areas intended for single-use.

IMPORTANT Hiring information related to the Calf: Our plans to open this area are contingent on finding individuals who can work shifts to verify Proof of Vaccination Program (PVP) status. We are looking for individuals who can scan the Alberta QR vaccine code using the AB Records Verifier app (which will be provided) and to admit eligible people into the space. If you are interested please email Monique –monique.verhoef@ambrose.edu and indicate your interest and availability between 7:30am and 8pm Monday-Friday and on weekends. In your email express your interest and your availability for shifts. We will pay minimum wage. Hourly contracts will be issued from November 15-December 21, 2021. This is a great way to earn a bit of extra money for Christmas and provide an opportunity for community building for the Ambrose community. We cannot open the Calf for eating without people in place to verify information.

January 1 Ambrose Proof of Vaccination: As announced, Ambrose will implement the Proof of Vaccination program (PVP) on January 1, 2022. In advance of that date all students will receive an email with instructions on how to submit proof of vaccination, medical exemption, or to opt into the rapid testing option. Anyone coming onto campus in the winter semester will be required to show one of these items. All students are advised that a valid Ambrose Identification Card will be required to access campus buildings as of January 1. If you do not have a card or your id card has not been updated, please visit the reception desk before the Christmas break which begins on December 22.
