Church Resources
Ambrose University prepares men and women for wise, joyful and redemptive engagement in the church, society and the created order through excellent Christian post-secondary education.
With the support of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada and the Church of the Nazarene Canada, we pursue faith-inspired higher education. Ours is a supportive yet challenging learning environment in which students can pursue their academic interests and prepare for their careers while also exploring and deepening their faith.
We deeply value the relationships we continue to foster with churches and Christian organizations across the nation. In an effort to diligently serve and support those who provide prayer, care, and guidance to the Ambrose University community, we have made a selection of tools and resources available.
Internship & Field Ed.
The intent of the Field Education portion of a student’s degree is to produce a reflective practitioner who is able to integrate the art of theological reflection with professional ministry practice. The requirements for students are designed to help them learn to reflect on their ministry experiences, making theological and biblical connections between the classroom and ministry. We also aim to create a beneficial partnership with the church so that their experience also helps the church community they serve in. We have between 30-35 students taking part in a Field Education experience each school year.
If you would like to learn more about having a Field Education student please contact Rev. Dr. Ric Strangway (Ric.Strangway@ambrose.edu).
