Our Counselling services will start again on Monday, September 14th.
We seek to provide a variety of options for times and options for counsellors on campus.
We hope that seeing a counsellor will help you achieve your goals and help you succeed as a student and in life.
All Ambrose undergraduate and seminary students (full-time for undergrads and seminarians taking one or more courses) are put on the Student VIP Health and Dental Plan. This plan provides psychological services up to $800 with no max/session.
Fees: Ambrose students wanting to use the on-campus service will use their Ambrose health and dental coverage for their first 5 appointments. Any therapy appointments after the five will be fully covered by Ambrose, leaving a student with some funds for future services off campus, if so desired.
For those students who are using a different health plan than the one provided by Ambrose: the first five appointments ($85/each) will be charged to your student account. A receipt of payment for services can be issued to you from Student Life and then you can submit proof of payment to your plan. Student Life will charge you only for the first 5 appointments and will cover the cost after those 5 have been submitted to your account.
We want to be sure that you get the care that you require. If your plan does not cover services on campus, you can stop by the Student Life front desk and have a confidential conversation with Laurie Ashlin-Mayo who will coordinate a care plan for you.
We want to make this service as accessible as possible for you so please do not hesitate to connect with Laurie (email@example.com or 403-410-2925).
Billing: Please fill out the following form BEFORE your first appointment this year (even if you are a returning client): ambrose.edu/counselling-appointment-billing
The form will allow you to select which counsellor you have along with your health & dental plan to guide you to your billing options.
If you have any questions on this, please do not hesitate to contact Laurie in Student Life, firstname.lastname@example.org or 403-410-2925.
Counselling appointments are typically booked on an every other week basis. Your counsellor will consult with you if more frequent sessions would be advisable.
Please use your first and last name when you book your appointment for accurate billing purposes.
