Day of Prayer

Day of Prayer Resources

FEBRUARY 7, 2023

You are invited to join us on Tuesday, February 7 for this annual day of prayer for the students, staff, and mission of Ambrose University. Watch this space for a full schedule of in-person and live-streamed events on this important day in the life of the university.

CHURCH INVOLVEMENT RESOURCES

The prayer support of our partners and supporters is essential. On Sunday, February 5 we invite your local church to include Ambrose University in your worship service prayers. Watch this space for congregational worship resources: a video, prayer requests, and other suggested prayers.

Ambrose University is called to prepare men and women for wise, joyful, and redemptive service in our churches and in our society. Thank you for being our partners on these special days of prayer and throughout the year.

Please consider sharing this video or the below prayer requests with your congregations.

  • That our students would grow in their faith, thrive in their academic programs, form community and healthy relationships, love creation, and embrace God’s call to “act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly” in this world.
  • For the healing of those still experiencing the effects of the COVID pandemic, who continue to struggle with burnout, depression, anxiety, and fear.
  • For new personnel in key leadership and teaching roles who have come to Ambrose University in the past year. We are grateful for their unique and valuable contributions to our community.
  • For new and continuing initiatives in key research areas—like the Canadian Poverty Institute, the Flourishing Churches Institute, and the Jaffray Centre for Global Initiatives—that their contributions would be of increasing benefit to our cities and contribute to the vital mission of the Church.
  • That Ambrose would be able to attract exceptional faculty and staff for new, existing, and expanding programs—persons who are committed to Christ, distinguished in their academic achievement, and skilled in teaching. We pray especially for current faculty searches in Pastoral Theology, Associate Dean of Education, and Assistant Professor of Music; and for the staff search for Campus Chaplain.
  • Pray for our Enrolment department as our teams work to recruit students for the 2023-24 academic year.
