Silent Sky with Fire Exit Theatre
A Co-Production with Fire Exit Theatre and Ambrose University.
About the Production
In the early 1900’s, Henrietta Leavitt begins work at the Harvard Observatory as one of the women ‘computers’ charting the cosmos. While measuring the light and distance of stars, Henrietta also takes measure of her own life, trying to balance scientific discovery with family obligations and the possibility of love. This true story of a trailblazing astronomer explores the passion and fortitude of females who defied social conventions and changed the way we understand both the heavens and the earth.

Kristin Iosifelis
It has been a long time coming and Kristin is braced with excitement to finally be on Fire Exit’s stage! Kristin is a graduating theatre student from the Ambrose University Theatre Program and is grateful to share the culmination of her years learning from incredible professors and professionals. Select credits include: Twelfth Night, The Comedy of Errors (The Shakespeare Company) A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare's Dog(CMHS: PVA). Henrietta Leavitt is the dream role she never knew she had, and this play is truly a story that is worth telling. She would lastly like to say you’re welcome to her mom because this isn’t Shakespeare. Please enjoy watching the stars singing out the Creators praise!
Rebecca Hanson
Rebecca is over the moon to take the stage, as the brilliant astronomer and trailblazer, Annie Cannon, in Silent Sky. Her previous credits include theatre and film appearances such as The Queen Mother in Cinderella, The Tsarina in Anastasia, and multiple characters in Shakespeare's works: The Duke of Ephesus, Dr. Pinch, and an Officer in Comedy of Errors, and Feste, Antonio, and The Priest in Twelfth Night.
Rebecca Hanson is an emerging artist, graduating from Ambrose University’s Theatre diploma program. She is thrilled to return to the stage in her final semester and hopes this is an experience where the audience enters the theater and leaves feeling fulfilled and enlightened, also for this experience to strengthen her stage skills making her professors, family, friends, and Lord proud.
