New Dean of Arts & Sciences Appointed
Ambrose University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Kyle Jantzen to Dean of Arts & Science, effective May 1, 2021.
Kyle began serving at Ambrose University, Canadian Theological Seminary at the time, in 1999 as Director of Non-Traditional Education and Assistant Professor of Church History. In 2003, he transitioned to teaching history full-time and was also appointed Chair of the Ambrose History Program. Kyle was promoted to Professor of History in 2011 and appointed as Chair of the Humanities program in 2018, overseeing Christian Studies, English, General Studies, and History.
“Kyle brings to the position a deep understanding of the faculty’s role in academic governance, expertise in curriculum development, excellence in teaching and scholarship, and strong advocacy skills. Kyle is often consulted for his wisdom and is a loyal supporter and promoter of Ambrose. I am confident in his skills to excel in this position,” said Pam Nordstrom, Senior Vice President Academic and Provost.
Kyle is also the author of Faith and Fatherland: Parish Politics in Hitler's Germany (Fortress Press, 2008) and various articles on the German churches in the Nazi era and on the response of North American Christians to Jewish persecution in Europe.
