Hiring: Part-time Security Guard Position

We are looking to hire an Ambrose student on a part-time basis (16 hours per week) for the Fall 2022 and Winter 2023 Semesters.  The contract would start August 29, 2022, and would run through until April 30, 2022.  The weekend Night Security Guard will patrol and inspect the Ambrose University site to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, and any illegal activity.  They will work independently and as part of a team in an effort to support the Ambrose community at large.  

Reporting Relationships:
Reports To:  Coordinator, Health, Safety & Security 

Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Maintain a presence overnight on campus in order to deter and detect any criminal activity.
•    Required to fulfill weekend night shifts regularly from 10PM to 6AM.
•    Support the safety of those using the Ambrose campus by facilitating a response to any incidents or alarms, and initiating follow up investigations.
•    Monitor access control and video surveillance systems on campus.
•    Facilitate nightly activity reporting detailing site checks, employee and/or student requests, and suspicious occurrences.
•    Support any emergency response to incidents by calling police, fire, or EMS.
•    Contribute positively in creating a safe and secure environment to support student learning on campus.
