Mark Buchanan
Mark Buchanan is the Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Ambrose University. Mark has a wide array of interests including – preaching, leadership, personal formation, biblical studies, theology, history, literature, poetry, and more - with no specific area of expertise. His primary and lifelong question is what it means to be fully human. He has published 10 non-fiction and fiction books with the latest being the third in his series on David, David Descend (2024).
Rev. Dr. Ken Shigematsu
Ken Shigematsu is the Senior Pastor of Tenth Church in Vancouver, BC, one of Canada's largest and most diverse city-center churches. He is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal awarded to Canadians in recognition for their outstanding contribution to the country. Before entering pastoral ministry, he worked for the Sony Corporation in Tokyo. Ken is the author of the award-winning bestseller God in My Everything and Survival Guide for the Soul, and his recently released book (May 2023) Now I Become Myself. Ken lives in Vancouver with his wife, Sakiko, and their son, Joey.
Dr. Stuart Williams
Stuart Williams is the Vice Dean of Theology at Ambrose University. Prior to coming to Ambrose, Stuart served as the Senior Pastor at Skyview Community Church of the Nazarene. He has taught courses at at Ambrose in the Faculty of Theology, at Point Loma Nazarene University.
Dr. Williams holds a DMin. from the Nazarene Theological Seminary where he was awarded a Dissertation of Distinction for his work “The Intercultural Congregation: Thinking, Living and Loving Racial Diversity with the Local Church: Developing an Intercultural Ministry Framework for Life Together.” His MA in Theology is from the University of Manchester and his Bachelor of Religious Education in Youth and Family Studies is from the Canadian Nazarene University College (now Ambrose University).
Rev. Chris King (Host)
Chris King is a licensed and ordained pastor with the Pentecostal Assembly of Canada (PAOC) and has served as a pastor with The Alliance Canada. Chris has experience as a pastor at Tehillah, a large Young Adults Ministry in Calgary, as well as time spent church planting. Moreover, his extensive service extends beyond a decade as a Police Chaplain in both Texas and Calgary, credentialed by the CPCA (Canadian Police Chaplain Association). Chris brings a passion and talent for Jesus, worship, and young adults to his role as Director of Spiritual Life and Campus Pastor at Ambrose.
