Biography

Nadia Verna has had the pleasure of supporting pre-service teachers, at the School of Education, for the past 4 years as they embark on their journey. Her previous experience as an Elementary/Junior high principal for 10 years has helped prepare our future teachers for the classroom of today. Teaching in the Curriculum Design and Program Development stream (CDPD) as well as Field Experience, has allowed her to share her passions in differentiation for all learners, curriculum connections that inspire engagement, and the need for equitable education. Nadia has lived in Calgary all her life, earning her B.Ed in Calgary and her M.Ed in Lethbridge. She has raised her own children here and has skied the Rockies with her family for 45 years! Calgary is a beautiful place to be, and Ambrose, an amazing community.
