Ambrose University Announces New Vice Dean of Theology Appointment

Ambrose University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Stuart Williams as its new Vice Dean of Theology.

For the past 15 years, Stuart has served as the Senior Pastor at Skyview Community Church of the Nazarene, before that he held various youth ministry roles.  He has taught courses at at Ambrose in the Faculty of Theology, at Point Loma Nazarene University, and is a sought-after conference speaker. 

Dr. Williams holds a DMin. from the Nazarene Theological Seminary where he was awarded a Dissertation of Distinction for his work “The Intercultural Congregation: Thinking, Living and Loving Racial Diversity with the Local Church: Developing an Intercultural Ministry Framework for Life Together.” His MA in Theology is from the University of Manchester and his Bachelor of Religious Education in Youth and Family Studies is from the Canadian Nazarene University College (now Ambrose University).

Stuart will finish his pastoral ministry at Skyview over the next weeks and join Ambrose in October. 

The Vice Dean of Theology is a new role at Ambrose University. The vice dean will work with the Dean of Theology, focusing on strategic initiatives in the Faculty of Theology and serving the ongoing needs of pastoral theology.
