Ambrose Scholars Corner 2025: Research in an Era of Caution

At the close of each academic year, Ambrose University’s faculty gather for Scholars Corner, a unique space to share the diverse research contributions that they make to their respective fields . This year's event, themed “Research in an Era of Caution,” explored how scholars are navigating safety, security, and ethical boundaries in their work.

This year, Scholars Corner featured 63 scholarly works by 17 faculty members, showcasing a vibrant tapestry of intellectual contributions, from journal articles and book reviews to digital music and webinars.

A few highlights from this year’s collection:

  • Matthew Morris presented an impressive 16-volume series on freshwater fish species in various U.S. states. His ongoing work on fish fraud garnered national media attention this year, adding a timely relevance to his research.
  • Mark Buchanan celebrated the completion of his historical fiction trilogy on the life of David. The three volumes reflect a decade-long scholarly and creative journey.
  • Wilian Gatti introduced innovative research in game board design, intersecting creativity with cognitive strategy and design thinking.

The event also welcomed plenary speakers:
