On behalf of the Board of Governors of Ambrose University, we are pleased to bring you the following announcement:

After a rigorous presidential search, the Search Committee was pleased to advance a candidate to the Board of Governors for their consideration on December 19th, 2023. The Board of Governors has unanimously endorsed the committee’s candidate. We are delighted to present:

Rev. Dr. Bryce Ashlin-Mayo

as the new President of Ambrose. Rev. Dr. Ashlin-Mayo will begin his new position on May 6, 2024.  This will allow him time to complete his portfolio as Dean of Theology and fully acclimate in his new role as President, Ambrose University.

We are grateful to Rev. Dr. Gordon T Smith for his commitment and passion over the last twelve years. We also appreciate his engagement in this time of transition. The Ambrose Board of Governors was witness to God’s hand in this entire process. A hearty welcome to Bryce and Laurie as they embrace this new opportunity. We look forward to serving the mission of Ambrose University together.

Rev. Dr. Bryce Ashlin-Mayo is currently the Dean of Theology and Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Ambrose University.  Bryce graduated with a Bachelor of Theology (Honours) from Canadian Bible College (now Ambrose University) in 1998, a Master of Divinity from Taylor Seminary (Valedictorian) in 2008, and a Doctorate in Ministry from Portland Seminary in 2013.  Before coming to Ambrose, Bryce served for twenty-five years as a pastor with The Alliance Canada.  Bryce’s research and writing focus primarily on pastoral ministry and digital media.  Bryce has written several books, including his most recent, “Digital Mission: A Practical Guide for Ministry Online." Bryce is married to Laurie, and they have three adult children.
