Course(s) Withdrawl Request Form

There are two options for students who do not wish to continue with a class they have registered in:
  • The first is to drop the class by the add/drop deadline. You can do so by logging into your student registration portal and simply removing the class from your class schedule with the 'edit' option. When you drop a class, individual class and tuition fees will be reimbursed to your student account, and the class will be removed from your official academic record. You are responsible for ensuring you have successfully dropped the class by the deadline. All deadline information can be found on the Academic Calendar.
  • The second option is to withdraw from the class by the withdrawal deadline. This form outlines the withdrawal process .
If you intend to Withdraw from a course after the Add/Drop deadline, you must apply through the Office of the Registrar by submitting this form. It is your responsibility to make sure you submit this form by the deadline outlined in the academic calendar. If you intend to withdraw from a course, but fail to do so by the applicable date, you will receive the grade you earn in the class, in accordance with the course syllabus.

When you Withdraw from a class, a grade of ‘W’ will be recorded on your transcript. ‘W’ grades are not included in grade point average calculations. A student may not withdraw from a course just to avoid academic misconduct. If you wish to withdraw completely from the University, please submit the "Withdrawal from Ambrose University" form located on the Registrar Request Forms page on the website.

Withdrawing from a course may effect Financial Aid & Awards from Ambrose as well as Student Loans. Please check with our Financial Aid Coordinator prior to withdrawal. Individual class and tuition fees will not be reimbursed as per the Academic Calendar financial policies. You will be held responsible for paying any outstanding fees in full.

If you are obligated to withdraw from a course after the withdrawal deadline because of extenuating circumstances, please submit the Extenuating Circumstances Withdrawal form located on the Registrar Request Forms page on the website. Submissions of this form passed deadlines will not be considered.

If you have any questions, please email the registrar at registrar@ambrose.edu
