Front Desk Receptionist
The Front Desk Receptionist acts as the first point of contact ensuring a positive first impression of Ambrose for guests, students, and employees. The Receptionist provides administrative support for Campus Services.
- Answer calls in an efficient manner. Provide information or route calls to the appropriate department or person. Take messages as needed.
- Determine the nature of each guest’s visit. Direct them to the appropriate department or person.
- Provide occasional photocopy, scan, and fax services for guests, students, and employees.
- Handle all incoming mail and courier deliveries.
- Process all outgoing business mail and packages.
- Maintain tracking spreadsheets for Campus Services (e.g., parking, ID cards, keys, etc.).
- Oversee the supply order process.
- Provide general administrative support for Campus Services. This includes Special Events and Health, Safety, and Security.
- Maintain and review Campus Services’ webpages.
- Create and update various employee lists.
- Coordinate reception coverage for lunch, personal days, and vacation.
- Periodic accounts receivable-related tasks.
- Receive payments for services and provide deposit information to the Finance department.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of reception/administrative/Office Manager experience.
- Experience with general accounting principles is considered an asset.
