3 More Tips To Cope With Anxiety About Getting "Back to Normal"
Still anxious about the relaxation of restrictions? It’s easy to worry about the changes and what lies ahead. Here are 3 more tips to help you take care of your mental health now that things have changed.
- Tell someone how you feel
It's easy to feel isolated or lonely when we're struggling. However, chances are that someone we know feels exactly how we do too. Tell a friend how you are doing, book a counselling appointment with one of our excellent counsellors or connect to someone through the free IM WELL app.
- Write down your thoughts
If you're feeling worried or upset, it can be helpful to explore your feelings by keeping a diary or journal. Tracking your mood over time lets you know the progress you have made and helps grow your confidence. Download the IM WELL app and use the mood tracker or go to Togetherall.com
- Focus on the present
When things start changing we can get caught up in worrying about the future and the past. It can be helpful to try to shift your focus to the present, try not to dwell on "what ifs" or what was "supposed" to happen.
