Your journey to Ambrose University starts NOW!

Ambrose University is one of Canada's top Christian universities and is located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Calgary, Alberta. In addition to training leaders for ministry, we offer accredited undergraduate degrees in arts & science, education, and business.

Ambrose offers an education that you can't get at larger, more impersonal universities. We aren't just about higher learning - we're about higher purpose. We're ranked # 2 in Canada for student-faculty interaction with class sizes averaging 18 students. That means our faculty, staff, and students are well equipped to create a safe and inclusive environment for those looking to pursue studies outside of their home country.

Calgary - The Blue Sky City

When we say Calgary is "The Blue Sky City", we're talking about more than just the fact that we boast the most sunny days out of any major Canadian city. We're talking about the fact that everyone is equal under the blue sky. With over 200 ethnic backgrounds represented, we're proud of our diversity. In fact, 1 in 13 Calgarians identify as Chinese Canadian giving Calgary the 3rd largest Chinese population in Canada.

Calgary is commonly ranked in the top ten most liveable cities in the world. It's no surprise to those who live here. We work hard and get things done - on the job, and in the community. And when it's time to play, we get plenty of inspiration from our natural environment, close to Ambrose:

  • The awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains and Banff National Park (1 hour away)
  • North America's largest urban park (20 minutes away)
  • Canada Olympic Park, a ski hill and world-class training centre (15 minutes away)
  • The world longest continuous four-season biking and walking path encircling the city.
  • The Calgary Stampede, a 10 day rodeo and festival celebrating the culture of Alberta, also known as the greatest outdoor show on earth.

Become an Ambrose University student in a few easy steps.

Step One: Choose Your Program
We'll help you choose a program that combines your passions with your career goals. With smaller class sizes than most universities, you'll learn one-on-one with professors that are experts in their respective disciplines, as you cultivate the knowledge and skills that employers desire right now.

Step Two: Learn about admission requirements
International students must provide an equivalent to our basic admission requirements, which usually means official certificates or credentials that are comparable to Canadian grade 12 courses.

Step Three: Apply for Admission

  • The deadline to apply is March 1st for Fall and July 1st for Winter.
  • The deadline to submit documents is March 31st for Fall and July 31st for Winter.

All international students who choose to leave Ambrose University must complete a withdrawal form and request a partial refund of their tuition deposit in person. Processing may take four to six weeks.
  • If a student's Study Permit is denied, they must provide proof of denial to receive a $1250 CAD refund. The remaining $250 CAD is non-refundable.

You will develop strong, lifelong bonds during this time with your fellow students as you grow together academically, socially, and spiritually.

Apply by June 15th to guarantee your spot in residence. All international students under the age of 21 are highly recommended live in residence and purchase a meal plan. Residence is the place to be. You can apply for residence through the Student Portal.
