The Admissions Advisor for Undergraduate is responsible for increasing the quantity and quality of students enrolling at Ambrose. This role involves building and facilitating relationships with undergraduate prospects and influencers through networking with prospective students, churches, parents, and schools

Duties and Responsibilities

External

  • Represent Ambrose to the community (e.g., churches, high schools, home schools) 
  • Liaise with prospective students, teachers, counselors, parents, and pastoral staff to promote Ambrose programs and provide program information 
  • Identify opportunities for faculty, staff, leaders, and students to serve and connect 
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and career fairs, ensuring suitable booth space and distributing marketing materials 
  • Set up and maintain a professional display booth/table at events 
  • Initiate and give presentations at events as needed 
  • Collect prospective student information for follow-up 
  • Advise prospective students and families on post-secondary options, including admissions, financial aid, and program information 

 

Inquiries

  • Follow up with inquiries collected at events, online requests, or campus visits 
  • Increase the conversion of inquiries to applicants 

 

Applicants

  • Communicate personally with assigned applicants 
  • Increase the conversion of applicants to students 
  • Assist with coordinating internal events (e.g., Counsellor Breakfasts, Preview Days, Open House) 
  • Assist the team with ongoing daily administrative tasks (e.g., answering emails, telephone, and web inquiries)

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably from Ambrose 
  • 1-2 years of related experience, particularly in customer service 

Skills

  • Quick learner with substantial knowledge of undergraduate and graduate programs 
  • Strong IT skills (e.g., Microsoft 365, Jenzabar, Salesforce) 
  • Strong administrative skills and ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Presentation and project management skills 
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize within tight deadlines 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Other Requirements

  • Driver’s license with a clear driving record 
  • Eligibility to rent a car 
  • Seasonal travel required 
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs

  • Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.
  • Employment is contingent upon satisfactory criminal background check and academic transcripts.
