Position Summary
The Lions Athletics Sports Article Writer will be responsible for writing sports articles and game recaps for Lions Athletics predominantly for Game Day and website presence, but also potentially for other places of communication like the ACAC website, newspapers, or magazines like the Anthem. This person will work closely with and report to the Athletic Events and Sports Information Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To write 1-2 sports articles per month (10 from Sept – April). These articles should seek to bring attention to each sports team, noteworthy Athletic stories on campus, and highlighting key events.
- To write a very brief game recap for each Lions home game that goes on both the Ambrose and ACAC website.
Duties and responsibilities performed within one's capabilities that do not constitute a major change may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of the supervisor either orally or in writing.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to: Manager of Athletic Events and Sports Information
Job Standards and Requirements
A recommended GPA of 2.5 or higher

- It is expected that this person would be able to meet writing deadlines and post articles in a timely fashion. It is expected that this person will write in a professional manner.
- It is expected that this person will have good communication and interviewing skills.
- It is expected that this person will be able to convey the culture and heartbeat of Ambrose Athletics to engage their readers.
