Position Summary

The Director of Wellness promotes a healthy campus by created events that promote mental health awareness as well as advocating for and providing students with the help they may need. 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To plan and to implement a minimum of three different events (active, passive, educational or otherwise) per academic semester based upon the elements represented in the Wellness Wheel (Emotional, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Environmental, Financial, and Spiritual).
  • To encourage a space for learning and healing for students on issues that impact them personally or impact the greater community.
  • To work closely with the Wellness Office of Ambrose University, to support wellness programming on campus and to provide feedback on wellness programming at Ambrose.
  • To Collaborate with the Wellness Office to serve the holistic needs of the student population.
  • To work with the Wellness Coordinator to provide leadership to the Peer Health Team.
  • In the absence of a Wellness Coordinator, the Director of Wellness will act a liaison of the Student Life department and the Student Association in regards to the wellness services and teams on campus.

Duties and responsibilities performed within one's capabilities that do not constitute a major change may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of the supervisor either orally or in writing.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to: ASC President, VP Internal

Job Standards and Requirements
  • Minimum CGPA of 2.30.
  • Any mental health training will be considered an asset.

Compassionate, organized, and be in tune with the immediate needs of the students and the community/world in the year they are serving. The person must love to help and serve others, gaining joy and using wisdom from God to serve the student body.
