As part of the Student Life team, the Senior Commuter Life Leader (SCLL) is crucial in establishing a community environment within the Watkins Commuter Collegium that is conducive to academic, spiritual, and social development, primarily through a leadership role of support to both the CLL’s & the Collegium.
The SCLL is to be a student who displays an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus and has a desire to support holistic growth in the lives of others. The SCLL plays a vital role in assisting and supervising the CLL’s as they seek to engage commuter students.
The SCLL must commit to this position for the full academic year (end of August – April).
- Focus on the CLL team development and supervising the program areas that each CLL has been assigned to.
- Meet with the Director of Community Life bi-weekly for supervision and collaboration.
- Lead and facilitate weekly Commuter Life meetings.
- Purchase groceries for the Collegium.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming environment within the collegium and complete administrative and housekeeping duties as assigned to your shift.
- Meet with individual CLL’s for support & encouragement as needed.
- Supervise the planning and implementation of commuter events and activities in collaboration with Commuter Life, CL Director, Residence Life and Student Council.
- Be a campus resource; aware of campus programs and services, providing referrals as needed.
- Ensure all team & program receipts get passed onto the DCL for the reconciling of the Ambrose visa statement.
- To act as a liaison between students and Student Life regarding needs, problems & concerns.
- To attend and encourage others to attend chapel.
- Attend and assist in leadership of the Fall and Winter Student Leadership Retreat and be available for on campus training and preparation.
- Participate in new student orientation in Fall and Winter semesters in roles that help integrate new students into the life of Ambrose University.

Be a mature, responsible student, who is respected within the Ambrose community
Current Ambrose commuter student with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours to a maximum of 15 per semester.
