Student Association

Body

The Education Student Association (ESA) is a student-led local of the Alberta Teacher's Association (ATA). All Ambrose Education students have the privilege of becoming ESA and ATA members which comes along with a host of benefits. Your ATA memberships gives you access to discounts, professional development, and the ATA library, among other things. As a member of the ESA, you will also have access to events and activities hosted by your executive team here at Ambrose University.

This team consists primarily of second-year students who are actively involved in building community here at Ambrose. The main roles on the team include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Professional Development Coordinator, Social Events Coordinator, Community Events Coordinator, and Social Media/Communications. There are also first year representatives on the team. Everyone who is a member of the ESA is welcome to join bi-weekly meetings in which the executive team plans Professional Development opportunities, Social/Community building events, and charity events to give back to the community.

The ESA is here to support the Education students on their journey of becoming the best teachers they can be. The executive team is here to advocate on behalf of students, build community amongst the cohorts and provide and encourage professional growth as we enter this demanding but fulfilling career.

If you have any further questions about the Education Student Association or any upcoming events, please email esa@ambrose.edu and put the title of the person you wish to contact in the subject line.
