The Bachelor of Education (After Degree) is designed to achieve what every beginning teacher desires – a thorough understanding of children and how they learn, and the ability to design learning experiences for all children in public school classrooms. This program is uniquely designed for students to develop a clear philosophy of education, one that is sensitive to the diversity in culture and learning needs that exist in today’s classrooms. Our program prepares students to build positive relationships with children and their parents, as well as with future colleagues and all who hold in high regard the welfare of children. Students will come to see the uniqueness and value of each child and will deepen their knowledge of how to design learning experiences so all children can learn, inclusive of their uniqueness. Above all, they will be part of a program deeply committed to the values and principles of our historic Christian faith, to be a visible expression of God’s love in the society and culture in which we live. Together we will learn how to seek the good of society through public school education. The Ambrose Bachelor of Education (After Degree) focuses on preparing elementary teachers, but graduates from the program are certified to teach any age level in the province of Alberta.
