Our ‘Introduction to Geology’ students got to go on a special field trip to explore the post-glacial geology of southern Alberta. Students studied the fossil environments and evidence in Drumheller and at the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology. Led by Dr. Stephen Jeans, Lecturer, Earth and Space Sciences, the trip was a return to the annual field tutorial that connects study of stratigraphy and planetology to the development of a deep time history of Earth.

The Ambrose Bachelor of Arts in Music is the program in which you can focus on developing your musical knowledge while receiving the support and mentorship of award-winning instructors in a close-knit environment. You will receive broad-based instruction in music theory, music history, music and culture, and performance, all of which will prepare you for a successful career.

The Bachelor of Arts in Music is for those looking to pursue music education, music retail, worship arts, composition, conducting, musical theatre, or any related career path.

The Certificate in Intercultural Studies prepares students to work in a variety of intercultural professional vocations both domestically and internationally. The courses for the certificate may be completed online over a two-year interval. A completed Certificate in Intercultural Studies may be fully applied to the requirements of the Master in Intercultural Ministries or the Master of Divinity program.

This program of studies is intended to introduce skills for professional practice, disciplines for self-knowledge and self-care, leadership skills, and the ability to engage diverse sectors so that graduates are able to do spiritual care or chaplaincy work in a variety of contexts.

The Certificate in Spiritual Care can also be completed concurrently with one of our full-length programs. Students can take courses that would meet the requirements for the Certificate in Spiritual Care as part of the MDiv or MLM program and earn both credentials.

1-credit workshops: Throughout the year Ambrose seminary offers one-credit workshops covering a diverse range of topics to help equip you for ministry. Featuring speakers such as Gordon T. Smith, Mark Buchanan, Dr. Terry Young, and more. These workshops can be taken for credit, allowing you the opportunity to earn credits through the flexibility of courses that fit your schedule and your life and helping you jumpstart your seminary education.
