New building under construction at Ambrose University!

We are very pleased to confirm that construction has begun on a new facility that will house the Faculty of Business of Ambrose University. While our master academic plan has all along assumed that sooner than later we would build a chapel and performing arts centre, the immediate priority is for classroom space. The student body is growing, which is great news; and we need more classrooms. In due time, we will also construct a chapel and performing arts centre, but for now, we urgently need classrooms.

The “Crossing over” of Dr. Joan Carter

Joan Carter – distinguished professor, beloved colleague and friend to many—has passed away. She served for many years on the faculty of Canadian Theological Seminary and Ambrose Seminary in the transition to Calgary. Convocation Chapel, Fall 2023

Every semester, Ambrose University hosts a Convocation Chapel to kick off the academic term and set the tone for the year ahead. Ambrose Day 2023

Ambrose Day, a time where all faculty and staff collect to reflect on the previous year and discuss the year to come.

Ambrose Day started with worship and words of scripture led by Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology, Mark Buchanan. Mark encouraged those in attendance to keep hearts open to the Lord in service, that this would be the core of everything we do at Ambrose.

The Dog Days of Summer

Regular activity was paw-sed for a time at the university on June 13th to celebrate the annual Dogs’ Day of Summer event. Founded by president Gordon T Smith a number of years ago – and even moving online during the pandemic – it is very pup-ular with dog owners on staff. As Dr. Smith has noted in the past, “[Dogs’ Day] is surely the high point in the academic calendar for those who understand the place of dogs in the economy of the Creator”.
